Terms of Use

Effective date: June 1, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the websites and online services published by Community Access National Network ("CANN," "we," "our"), including cannpolicy.org and any related subdomains (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of the Site

The Site is provided for informational, educational, and policy-engagement purposes. You may view, download, and print materials from the Site for personal, noncommercial use, provided you keep all copyright and attribution notices intact. Any other use — including reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use — requires CANN's prior written permission.

2. Not legal, medical, or financial advice

Content on the Site, including policy analysis, briefs, infographics, and the Co-Infection Watch, is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal, medical, or financial advice. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

3. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, data visualizations, and downloadable files — is owned by CANN or its licensors and is protected by United States and international intellectual property laws. The CANN name, logo, and "Community Access National Network" word mark are trademarks of CANN.

4. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites. CANN does not control and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party sites. A link does not imply endorsement.

5. User submissions

If you submit information through a contact form, newsletter signup, or similar channel, you grant CANN a nonexclusive license to use that information for the purpose of responding to you and operating the Site, subject to our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, CANN disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CANN and its directors, officers, employees, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with an effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
