Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 1, 2026
Community Access National Network is committed to making tiicann.org accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is fundamental to how we think about access — and that includes access to our own work.
Our standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This applies to our content, our visual design, and the underlying code of the Site.
Specific design choices
We use IBM Plex Sans as our primary typeface in part for its accessibility characteristics — distinct I/l/1, open apertures, and a generous x-height that improves readability for low-vision and dyslexic readers. We design for sufficient color contrast against our refined palette. We provide alt text on substantive imagery, and we structure our pages with logical heading order so screen readers can navigate them effectively.
Known limitations
We continue to test and improve. PDFs published before 2025 may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Embedded third-party content may not meet our internal standards. We are actively working to remediate or replace these.
Tell us when something is wrong
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Site, please tell us. Email info@tiicann.org with the page URL and a description of the issue, and we will respond within five business days. If you need a CANN publication in an alternative format, we will provide it.
Feedback drives our improvements. Thank you for helping us do this better.
